Frequently Asked Questions
What is a YouTube Collaboration Event?
A YouTube Collaboration Event is a coordinated project where multiple creators produce and share videos on a shared theme or topic, often releasing them at the same time or within a set period. This type of event encourages creators to work together, cross-promote each other’s channels, and engage with a wider audience, fostering a sense of community while boosting visibility for everyone involved.
YouTube Collaboration Events offer viewers and subscribers a unique opportunity to discover new creators and fresh content that aligns with their interests. By participating in these events, viewers are introduced to a wider variety of perspectives, creative styles, and expertise, making the viewing experience more engaging and diverse.
Additionally, these events help foster a stronger sense of community among viewers, as they can join in conversations, share feedback, and connect with like-minded people across multiple channels. For loyal subscribers, there’s also the benefit of being the first to access new content and participate in real-time premieres, ensuring they never miss out on the latest trends or discussions.
When will the YouTube Collaboration Event be held?

- Email your YouTube video link to Samantha at [email protected] and it will be added to the collaboration event playlist.
- Promote the event on your socials (optional but appreciated).

Do I have to use the YouTube ‘Set as Premier’ function?
Yes, checking that ‘Set as Premier’ box is what makes the whole collaboration event possible. Without it, your video link is not publicly available to be added to the collaboration event playlist.
Please be aware that your video thumbnail image will be visible on your YouTube channel before the video is made viewable to the public. You may want to use a teaser image (which you can change later) so as not to spoil any surprise.
Can I collaborate from another social media platform?
Unfortunately, no. The event will only be held on YouTube at this stage.
Do I have to have an existing YouTube channel?
You do need to have a YouTube channel, but it does not have to be an established one. In fact, why not set one up and participate in the event? Instructions for setting up a YouTube channel can be found online.
I can’t participate this time around. Will there be more collaboration events in the future?
Yes! We are planning more events in the future.
